The MCE 530 is an inexpensive, fixed-cardioid small-diaphragm FET condenser microphone. The element is a back-electret design. The amplifier requires phantom power. The mic will operate on as little as 11V, although below 48V the maximum SPL drops from 136dB to 126dB.
